In 2022, the Vandalia-Butler Foundation proudly awarded its annual Small Business Opportunity Grant to Optimus Prosthetics in Butler Township. Optimus Prosthetics is using the $1,500 grant to purchase and install a special dust collection system to reduce the amount of airborne particles resulting from the on-site fabrication of prosthetics and protect the health of the employees.
“The Vandalia-Butler Foundation recognizes the vital role our small businesses play in creating jobs and growing our economy,” said Jean Maychack, president of the Vandalia-Butler Foundation. “The global COVID-19 pandemic has presented enormous challenges for small businesses and this funding can help mitigate expenses.”
The Vandalia-Butler Foundation Small Business Opportunity Grant was established in memory of Butler Township resident Ron Gearhart.
Recipients are selected via a competitive application process.
