The Vandalia-Butler Alumni Association wants to inspire a love of learning and reading before children enter kindergarten.
That’s why VBAA donated $2,000 to VISIONS for new books for a teacher resource library to support early learning and literacy.
“The Vandalia-Butler Alumni Association is very grateful to its donors, whose thoughtfulness allowed the presentation of this wonderful gift to the VBCSD Preschool library. What a joy it is to foster the love of reading,” said Amy DeCamp, president of VBAA. “Soar high, young Aviators!”
The gift will help create an environment that encourages reading.
“VISIONS has played an instrumental role in helping our preschool team build a teachers’ library full of valuable children’s literature to support a language-rich environment in our approach to hands-on, intentional early literacy opportunities for our tiniest Aviators,” said Shalyn Leighner, preschool and special education supervisor.
