Abbey Credit Union’s generosity is making a difference in Butler High School’s classrooms.
The credit union’s $2,155 gift to the VISIONS Fund this year is supporting interactive learning in math classes by providing an iPad for real-time notetaking, which can be instantly displayed on a whiteboard. Additionally, part of the donation has been allocated for new cookware for cooking classes. Abbey Credit Union also continues to provide valuable marketing assistance to the Vandalia-Butler Foundation’s education committee.
“Abbey has a passion for supporting our local schools in enhancing the educational experience of their students. We are proud of the support we can offer to these schools and students,” said Dean Pielemeier, president and CEO of Abbey Credit Union.
In all, the Vandalia-Butler Foundation awarded a record-breaking $31,314 in educational grants in 2025 for innovative classroom initiatives in the Vandalia-Butler City Schools.
For those wishing to make a contribution to the VISIONS Fund, tax-deductible donations can be mailed to VISIONS Fund, c/o The Dayton Foundation, 1401 S. Main St., Suite 100, Dayton, OH 45409-2600. To make an online donation, visit vandalia-butlerfoundation.org/visions.
The Vandalia-Butler Foundation is a component fund of The Dayton Foundation.
