A Message from Our PresidentDear Valued Friend of The Vandalia-Butler Foundation, On behalf of The Vandalia-Butler Foundation Board of Trustees, I want to thank you for your generous support and compassion for others. Together, we have weathered enormous challenges during a global pandemic, but we never lost sight of our mission to help businesses, families, individuals, organizations, and schools in Vandalia and Butler Township. The Vandalia-Butler Foundation Family of Funds' balance at the end of June 2021 was $3,926,992. It is an honor to be entrusted with providing guidance and support for these funds as we commit to positive change in our community. In 2021, The Vandalia-Butler Foundation, primarily through its VISIONS Endowment Fund, awarded a record $28,531 in educational grants to support more than a dozen initiatives in Vandalia-Butler City Schools. We proudly supported 21 students with scholarships totaling $30,725, and awarded a deserving Small Business Opportunity Grant. In addition, we proudly joined The Dayton Foundation's "100 Years of Helping Others" celebration by focusing our fundraising and charitable giving efforts on a single project to benefit the Vandalia-Butler Community. The Vandalia-Butler Foundation selected St. Christopher School as the recipient of its generous gift of $4,800 to purchase and install hydroponic vertical grow towers, including seedlings and instruction, to support students and staff in gardening year-round. Produce from the grow towers is donated to the Vandalia-Butler Food Pantry. It is a pleasure to present the 2020-2021 Annual Report of The Vandalia-Butler Foundation. Please take a moment to look through this report and review our accomplishments for 2020 and 2021. We hope that you will explore the possibilities of how we may assist you in growing our Vandalia-Butler community.
